This came via chat this morning and it's simply too good not to post.
Evan Roth's newest project - Graffiti Analysis 2.0 - involves motion capturing artists at work and then converting the process into computer code. The code (which he has dubbed, Graffiti Markup Language, or GML for short) is then used to create a visualization of the graffiti calligraphy in motion; a kind of "behind-the-scenes" look at how the art is created.
The purpose of this project? In Evan's own words: "Building the world's largest open archive of graffiti motion data."
Way Cool.
